We Were Merely Freshmen

This whole week is nothing but a lifeless journey towards an endless road. The road is so long, that it bores me. It is a one way ticket, and I have no choice but to move forward. I travel all alone, that it scares me. Where am I heading? That I do not know. As of this date, I am totally clueless on what lies ahead.

I wish I had a river so long...

You might be wondering what I am talking about. This week has been one of the busiest of my career. I guess it could be categorized and could be archived into my Busy Season Files folder. Oh my goodness, non-audit people would find this very close to unbelievable, but I haven't gone home earlier than 1 a.m. for this past week. And today is a Sunday. Guess what? I'm still at the office--since yesterday. God, this is not normal. But for the field that I chose, it is given for every busy season. Yes, it's the start of the B.S.--> not Bull Shit, but the Busy Season. And so far, I've under estimated its capabilities and of what things it can do to you. I'm like transcended into another dimension, where I am totally living a different life. I am like morphed into a different life form. And at the end of the B.S., I would be warped back into the three dimensional world and I will transform back into my normal self.

I can't wait. You've got to hold your head up high.

Sorry for the not-so-connected song lines. I just feel like typing whatever music I am currently listening to.

Blue Moon

The Filipino movies seem to be going up to a next different level. I've never been so impressed with Flipflicks more than I was last night. From the moment I saw the movie trailer, I knew that I have to watch this film, and all I needed was a movie companion. And last night, I was feeling even more than lucky to have finally found two other interested and willing friends to watch Blue Moon with me, an entry by Regal Films to the Metro Manila Film Festival.

I was always fascinated with vintage, and so the setting definitely made the movie more appealing to me. In terms of cinematography and the acting, higher level! And more than that, the story itself is something that in my opinion, could be leveled up with international films. Yun nga lang, sumablay sa digital effects. But what do you expect, we're still on the learning process. In time, everything will be perfected. I'm just glad that I'm feeling some progress now, and obviously, it's not only me or my companions who appreciated this movie, but mostly everyone as well because it recently grabbed the Metro Manila Film Festival award for the best picture. Ang taray, diba!!!

What I liked most about this movie is that it makes you think, and at the same time it touches your heart--a combination that seems to be rarely found in Filipino movies. A fascinating and heart warming movie, that would inspire us to search for our own Corazon. That certainly proves that destiny has its own certain way of finding us and taking us to where we really belong.

I'm Bored

And I'm savoring every single minute of it.

I'm so SB (Sarap Buhay) this whole week that it scares me. It scares me because there's this great possibility that I would have to pay for this for the next weeks to come. Uh oh...

Anyways, let me tell you about my first inventory count...the condom warehouse count!

Oh my goodness! I've never seen so many condoms in my whole life! And to think, they will all be consumed by Filipino men!!! Whoah!!! Boxes and boxes of condoms and pills, all flavors and colors. Funny, when we asked about the demand for it, they said that the least number of sales would be the baggy condoms. Hmm...what does that tell us? Well, at least, in fairness to all the Pinoy males out there, there are still consumers of this variety ;) .

We got lots of freebies. Don't ask who got them all. Basta, it's not for my personal consumption.

That's Joey posing with his favorite product. And on the leftmost picture is the rest of our audit team along with the boxes of goodies.

Oh well, it's almost 5:30 and I'm about to go home. So far, that's the most interesting adventure I've had this time. Enough of the chikas. I'll post some more everytime I get bored.
